The pattern is written for one seize only. However, I got many messages in regards Full of Minis Hat (original) to extend pattern for more sizes (I haven’t don’t it yet but I am planning to make similar table to guide you through). Therefore, you can find table with number of sts to cast on for certain Gauge on the last page. Read whole pattern to understand construction first.

ELF - FULL OF MINIS HAT is knit from bottom up on circular needles. The most challenging part is to pick up stitches when we Fold and Knit a round.

Size: One Size Only - Child (approx 17 inch – 42 cm)
Hat is approx 7.5 inch / 19 cm in height.

To knit this size of a hat I used 24 minis of 5 g perfect project for Advent Calendar Mini Skeins.

Materials:

Needles: US 3 - 3.25 mm 16 inch / 40 cm circular and DPNs for the crown or circular with longer cord

Yarn FINGERING WEIGHT approx 5 g = 20 yds / 18 m (100g = 400 yds / 365 m) - I used some Duck Duck Wool (Merino Sock) and Old Soul Fiber Co (Soul Twist - 80% merino, 20% nylon) I got both of them from Row One bags as a gift from a friend. I just added 20 g of a mini skein (light brown - unknow yarn dyer) to have 24 x 5 g minis although you will use less and less once you start decreasing.
Notions: 5 markers (including a starter for a round) and a tapestry needle

The pattern includes a table as a guide to tempt you to knit with different yarn weights, gauges, size you need however you may need more or less yarn:

• Bulky (gauge 16 sts) - hat sizes: 15 (20, 25) inch / 38 (50, 63) cm

• DK (gauge 20 sts) - hat sizes: 12, 16 (20, 24, 28) inch / 30, 40 (50, 60, 70) cm

• Fingering weight yarn (gauge 24 sts) - hat sizes: 13, 17 (20, 23, 27) inch / 33, 42 (50, 58, 67) cm

• Fingering weight yarn (gauge 28 sts) - hat sizes: 14, 17 (20, 23, 26) inch / 36, 43 (50, 57, 64) cm
