Oversize elf style pointy hood in stockinette stitch with seed stitch border and front ties and back point with tassels. Short version is 20 inches (51 cm) from top of hood to end of point (not including tassel). Total front width is 34 inches (86 cm). Front of hood to center back is 10 inches (25.4 cm) at nape of neck. The long version is 30 inches (76 cm) from top of hood to end of point. It is worked in one piece with a bottom back seam.
I used Elenka Icelandic type yarn from my Mom’s stash. This is no longer available but any type of Icelandic type yarn will look great.
For the short version about 9 oz. (250 g) is needed, 11oz. (300g) for the long version.

It can be worn as is or it may be attached it to a vintage sweater for a unique look.
