Elf Socks
This cute little holiday stocking was created in celebration of the Fiber Art Studio Tour in central Maryland, USA. All the artists on the tour offer for sale 100 yard mini-skeins souvenirs in fingering weight hand dyed yarn. This pattern is a useful and timely application of the mini-skeins for the Holiday 2019 tour.
The little sock could be used flat as an ornament, or fill it with goodies and hang. My design features an optional little hanger built right into the project. In the pattern are notes discussing several different visual versions of the stocking - - either solid; accented cuff, heel, and toe; or striped.
I would consider this an entry level project for folks learning to do socks. It is done using double points and worked in the round. Hope you enjoy!
I would like to thank Kathleen Lopez of Craicpot Woolworks for doing the tech edit and sample knitting. Thanks Kathleen!
