As a knitter, I think the best projects are the ones that look super-complicated and impress non-knitters but which are actually super-easy to do. For this pattern, I wanted to explore alternating twisted rib with diagonal mesh… and when I swatched the simple two-row repeat, I was astounded at how it turned out. The intuitive pattern created fascinating swirls that were a cinch to transition into a reversed spiraling crown. As such, I consider this hat the crown jewel of the Kino Knits E-book Hat Collection.
What testers had to say:
- “The 2 row repeat was easy to remember making the hat easy to knit without having to check the pattern.”
- “Wonderfully stretchy result. Very effective pattern using simple 2 row repeat.”
- “I absolutely loved this pattern. I’m normally not a fan of working twisted stitches, but you won me over with this pattern.”
- “Liked that its very easy to remember making it a perfect project to work on while binging Netflix. :) Did not dislike anything. Will make more in a smaller size.”
