This shawlette features traditional Estonian motifs. I designed it for my very dear friend Elisa, who gave me the honor to name this model after her. It has a curvy, soft shape obtained with short rows, narrower at its sides so as to be worn as a short scarf /neckwarmer.
The shawlette begins casting on the number of stitches needed for its entire width and then worked from top to bottom with short row technique.
After completing the “body”, the edging is knitted on all the stitches previously cast on.

The pattern offers directions for two different edgings.

The charts and the written directions show also where to place beads.

The PDF contains general directions for casting on, bind off and making nupps.

The pattern is in charted and text form.

This pattern has been test knitted with laceweight and fingering weight yarn.

Jossroll knit it with 1.57oz/ 44g - 361yd / 329m of laceweight 100% cashmere ( 202 yards/ 185 m on 0.88oz / 25g). Needles size 3.5mm /US size 4.
Finished measurements: 13” X 53” - 33 cm. X 135 cm . Wider edging version.

LindaLovesLace knit it with 385yd – 352m of fingering weight 80%merino/20% nylon yarn (435 yd – 398m on 3.53oz - 100g) and needles size 3.5mm /US 4. Measurements: 20” x 62” - 50.8cm x 157.5cm. Wider edging version.

Ninon39 knit it with 396yd – 362 m of laceweight 100% alpaca ( 440yd – 400m on 1.76oz - 50 g) and needles size 4mm /US 6. Measurements: 13.5” x 57” - 34.3cm x 144.8cm

Seaglass knit the version with smaller edging using 0.07 skeins = 352.8 yards (322.6m) of lace weight merino / silk (613 yards/ 560 m on 1.76 oz / 50 g).
Needles size 3.25mm /US size 3.
Finished measurements : 12” x 58” - 30.5cm x 147.3cm.

I knit the version with smaller edging using about 0.9oz/ 25g - 306yards/ 280m of lace weight merino / silk (613 yards/ 560 m on 1.76 oz / 50 g).
Needles size 3.25mm /US size 3.
Finished measurements : 13” x 52” - 33cm x 132cm.

And I knit the version with wider edging using 396yd – 362m of laceweight 100% merino wool (440 yd – 400 m on 1.76oz - 50g) and needles size 3.5 mm /US size 4.
Measurements: 15.35” x 59.06” - 39cm x 150cm.
