The Second installment in my year long quest to design one 12 x 12” square per month in honor of Jane Austens’ beloved hero’s and heroines.

When I think of Elizabeth in Pride and Prejudice I always picture her our tramping the fields or climbing rocks and rills. Adoring the outdoors she thought nothing of trekking through mud up to her ankles for miles.

By using a Vandyke type of stitch I attempted to mimic the hills she climbed in the Lake Country.
