Ella is knit in two pieces -- the band and the body. The band is tall, making this pattern lean towards a cloche shape, but you can knit the body further to make it slouchy

There is a double-ruffle on Ella. Attaching the buttons on the wrong side of the back ruffle means the both sides of the ruffles look uninterrupted
