Ella is crescent shawl, knitted from the bottom to the top. The bottom part of the shawl knitted in garter stitch and finished with stockinette in short rows. To the taste of the knitter the shawl could be bigger just adding extra repeats to the dual colors part of the shawl. For this pattern could be used sock, fingering and sport weight yarns.

100 - 120 yards of the contrasting color.
