A beautiful lace outfit ideal for those fifties dolls! There is a pretty bolero which your doll can wear with the matching skirt or separately with lovely summer dresses that were the fashion. A headband with a bow to match the bow on the skirt gives a sweet note.

Lace instructions are both charted and written out for those who don’t like charts!

Intermediate level pattern. Great for beginner lace-knitters.
This pattern has been testknit.

50g yarn is enough for bolero, skirt and covered hairband.
I used size 3.5mm needles for the bolero which is knit flat; and a circular 3.75 needle for the skirt which is knitted in the round.
Please check your gauge and use different sizes if necessary.

The skirt has a button at the waistband at the back.

A link to a blog post shows you how you can make your own hairband blank to cover from a cheap plastic hairband for those like me who have difficulty finding dollsized ones!
