“Ellen”
I have used both aran and dk yarn for this piece, it could however be created just in either weight, but insure you have enough of your chosen yarn against the yarn requirements here in the pattern.
It’s a shawl that can be worn either way round as can be seen in the photographs, so that you can wear the lace section next to your neck or at the bottom of the shawl.
I have created it here in a variegated yarn with a solid contrast or for a very different look have made it in natural undyed yarn, which would make a perfect wedding shawl for the shoulders.
Whatever your colour choice, for whatever occasion, I look forward to seeing what you create.
To confirm the meterage used…. 159m of aran weight and 220m of dk weight
The name of the shawl has come from Jamie Frasers mother in the outlander story.
It’s been inspired by my love of Outlander, the Scottish Highlands and historical clothing and textiles.
