Ellen Cardigan
Pattern workflow:
The Ellen cardigan is worked from the top down. Inspiration for the construction is from the Cokoknits workshop book, with German short rows instead of increases for the back shoulder shaping.
Firstly, the top part of the back yoke is worked back and forth, with German short rows, then the shoulders are worked from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the top of the back yoke. Stitches are then picked up and knitted along the sides of the shoulders to begin shaping the sleeves and the yoke is joined together on the circular needle, and worked back and forth.
The sleeves are placed on hold, while the rest of the body is worked back and forth. The sleeves are worked in the round. The trims and button band are worked in double knitting.
Video tutorials included for the trims, front band and bottom holes.
