Èllera, the Tuscan vernacular name for Ground Ivy, from the folk Tuscan song “L’Amore è come l’ellera” (“Love is like ground ivy”) . We were inspired by the fact that in the valley we have many connections with people from Tuscany that choose to live there for love reasons and that are passionate about taking care of that piece of land, and to play with the fact that you can see hearts or leaves in the knitted motif.
Moreover, knitting a pair of mittens and a cowl is really a sign of appreciation and love for a special one. We suggest, especially for the mittens, to be tight with your gauge in order to get a really wind and waterproof fabric.

Siamo stati ispirate dal fatto che nella valle abbiamo diverse connessioni con persone toscane che hanno scelto di vivere in questo angolo di mondo per motivi d’amore e che hanno sviluppato la passione e la cura per questo territorio, e di giocare con il fatto che puoi vedere i cuori o foglie nel motivo lavorato a maglia.
Inoltre, lavorare a maglia un paio di guanti e un collo è davvero un segno di apprezzamento e amore per una persona speciale. Suggeriamo, soprattutto per le muffole, di non aver paura di scendere con il numero dei ferri: così da ottenere un tessuto davvero antivento e impermeabile.
