This is a very simple pattern for a pixie hat with a pompom.
The pattern gives instructions for either i-cord ties or a chin strap, choose whichever you prefer.
There are instructions for 5 sizes from birth to 5 years.

The pattern has instructions for finishing this hat in either of 2 ways, depending on your skill level:-

1. You can cast off and knit up the back seam if you are a beginner, or just prefer this method.
2. You can work short rows and a three needle bind off and hence avoid a seam if you are a more experienced knitter, or wish to learn this method. There is a photo tutorial for short rows and three needle bind off included in the pattern.
