Elliot the Elephant is about 12 inches standing, about 7.5 sitting. He is able to stand (with some assistance) and sit. I would consider this an advanced beginner pattern.

You will need:
200 yards I love this Yarn in Silver Mist or a similar worsted weight, size 4 yarn
Small amount of yarn in white
3.75mm hook
Yarn Needle
Polyfil
12mm safety eyes
stitch marker

You will need to know how to use a magic circle, single crochet and how to increase and invisible decrease. I include instructions for the invisible decrease.
You will also need to know how to use the half-double, double and triple crochet.
