The basic Elliott just got better with the Playing With Colour: Elliott Bobble Hat knitting pattern.

The Elliott Bobble Hat is a super chunky, seamless bobble hat knit in the round and finished with a fluffy pompom. 10mm double pointed needles are used to knit this simple beanie in the round, but if you are familiar with magic loop, circular needles can also be used if that is your preference.

The Elliott is the perfect combination of slouch and squish creating a casual and relaxed look and now you can have even more fun with the design. The Playing With Colour edition offers you three different designs to (colour) play around with.

Choose from ‘Colour Pop Top’, ‘Set of Stripes’ or ‘Three Stripes’ and there’s no limits to the colour combinations you can dream up.

SIZE:
The Elliott Bobble Hat measures at approximately 10in (25.5cm)long from top to bottom of the ribbing. Rib section measures approximately 2.75in (7cm) wide. Designed to fit the average adult head of 22in (56cm).

GAUGE:
11 sts x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4“ on 10mm (US 15) needles in stocking stitch

YARN:
You can use any super chunky yarn you wish to knit up this pattern provided you can meet the gauge. The samples in the photos are worked using King Cole Big Value Super Chunky (1 ball = 82m (90yd))

Depending on the design, each pattern requires 2 or 3 colours of yarn.
Approximate yardage for each design is as follows:
Colour Pop Top: Colour A - 67m (4yd); Colour B - 45m (50yd)
Set of Stripes: Colour A - 78m (86yd); Colour B - 33m (37yd)
Three Stripes: Colour A - 37m (41yd); Colour B - 31m (34yd); Colour C - 45m (50yd)
