A sweet friend of mine was expecting in December 2016, and I knew that I had to make her a special blanket that reflected her style: delicate and refined. She loves purple, and the baby’s gender was a surprise, so I went with this rich blue-purple by Berroco that I thought would work for a boy or a girl and also please Mom. (Spoiler alert: it’s a girl and Mom loves the blanket!)
I drool over anything chevron, and couldn’t find any patterns I liked that gave that herringbone-type look. I played around with eyelet placement and came up with this simple design that -- I was pleased to discover -- comes out with great texture and lots of little holes perfect for tiny baby fingers to grasp. Best of all: it’s so squooshy!
