Ellon
Ellon is a seamless, top down cardigan with set-in sleeves,
‘afterthought’ pockets, shawl collar and a belt.
My aim was to design a garment with just the right balance of casual and elegant. A garment that would allow me to look and feel equally good at a school drop-off, paired with favourite jeans and trusty old trainers, as well as at a dinner date, glammed up with high heels and slinky trousers.
But not just that. I wanted it to be comfy and easy enough to wear, so that I could throw it over my PJs on chilly mornings or lounge in front of the wood burner on cold winter evenings. A lot to ask of one garment, I know. And yet, for me, Ellon is exactly that kind of garment!
Like a chameleon, it changes its appearance according to the environment and things it’s paired with.
Ever so versatile, it’s truly one of the most used things in my wardrobe.
