ABOUT THE GARMENT

The «Elly Cardigan» is a raglan cardigan in fisherman’s rib. The cardigan has a relaxed fit with a hemline ending above the hipbone. The sleeves are roomy and comfortable with a nice decrease shaping on the underarm to allow the cuff to sit on the wrist. The neckline is quite high, and the number of raglan stiches gives the cardigan an extra little twist.

SIZE GUIDE

The Elly Cardigan is designed to have a comfortable fit with a positive ease of approx. 10 - 15 cm measured around your bust/belly after washing and blocking your garment.

The sizes are designed for a bust/belly circumference of 76-82 (82-88, 88-94) 94-100 (100-108, 108-116) 116-124 cm / 30-32.5 (32.5-34.5, 34.5-37) 37-39.5 (39.5-42.5, 42.5-45.5) 45.5-49 inches.

Finished measurements (after washing and blocking):

Body length (measured on the center back, without the neck): 46.5 (47, 47.5) 48.5 (49.5, 51) 52 cm / 18.25 (18.5, 18.75) 19.25 (19.5, 20) 20.5 inches

SUGGESTED NEEDLES

Circular needle 4.5 mm (US 7) with length 80 or 100 cm (31.5 or 39.5 inches) for the body and sleeves.

Circular needle 3.5 mm (US 4) with length 60 or 80 cm (23.5 or 31.5 inches) for all 1x1 ribbing.
For the cuffs you will need to knit with the magic loop method or alternatively you can use a set of double pointed needles.

MATERIALS

250 (250, 250) 300 (300, 300) 350 g Merino, Knitting for Olive 50 g / 250 m

combined with

225 (250, 275), 275 (300, 325) 350 g Soft Silk Mohair, Knitting for Olive 25 g / 225 m

The cardigan is knitted with one strand merino and two strands mohair, i.e. 3 strands in total.
