The first socks of the collection are a pair of shorties, worked toe-up. They feature a lace chart panel, a super comfortable heel, and a ruffled cuff. The Eloise Socks are utterly fun to knit and pretty quick on the needles, too!

NEEDLES
This design calls for the Turkish cast-on, which is normally done on longer-cable needles using the magic loop technique. I worked my socks using a longer-cable needle for the toe and then changed to short cable circular needles (which you could also replace for DPNs!).

The pattern uses markers instead of needle number references so it’s easier for you to adapt the instructions to your favorite method for knitting socks.

Gauge size: For my sample, gauge was achieved using a US 1.5 (2.5 mm) circular needle with a short cable or a cable of at least 80 cm length for magic loop.
