This is a pattern for a slipped stitch turtleneck scarf. It is an unusual stitch, but is not difficult. It works well in both variegated and solid colored yarns. The slipped stitch gives a textural look to the turtleneck scarf, and as a result of the construction, the stitches fall in the same direction on both sides of your scarf. The pattern also includes directions for an optional edging, like the one pictured here has.

Skill Level: Beginner + - Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of knitting, purling and slipped stitch experience.)

The scarf in the sample was made using Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Worsted yarn in colorway, Shadow.

This pattern was expertly tested by Rebecca Wood. (rkwood16@gmail.com), who is known on Ravelry as Rebs 16.
