with short row shaping at the neck. The neckband, cuffs

shades, yarn A for the yoke and neckband, and yarn B
for the body and sleeves.

Gauge: 20 sts & 28 rows = 10cm / 4” over 2x2 Rib (gently
stretched) worked in the round on 4.5mm needles after blocking.

Needles: 4mm / US 6 circular needle, 60-100cm / 24”-40”
length depending on size worked AND 40cm / 16” length AND needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
4.5mm / US 7 circular needle, 60-100cm / 24”-40” length depending on size worked AND 40cm / 16” length AND needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct
gauge after blocking.

Notions: 4 stitch markers (including one unique for beginning of round), scrap yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle

Notes: Elowen is worked top down in the round with raglan increases and optional short rows at the neck. At the underarm, sleeve stitches are put on hold and the body is worked in one piece. This pattern provides instructions for two hem options, a straight hem or a split hem. The sleeve stitches are picked up and sleeves are worked down in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline and either a short neckband, a high neckband or a folded neckband is completed.
Note: The shorter neckband sits better when the optional short rows have been worked during the yoke shaping

This pattern is a template for a single-colour pullover and does not include instructions for colour-blocking. Please consider the ‘sample notes’ for each example if you are planning to replicate one.
