Elowen Cowl
Elowen Cowl features the same stitch pattern as my Elowen Shawl pattern.
Elowen is a Cornish name pronounced el-LOW-en. I love the melodic sound of the name, like a little song!
Elowen Cowl is knit flat and then joined in the round using a three-needle bind-off. The style is easy to wear, adding warmth but no bulk behind the neck.
The slip stitch pattern is easy to work and only involves working one color per row.
This project works up quickly and makes a great stash buster too.
The pattern contains both a chart and written instructions for the color work.
The cowl measures 18 inches (45 cm) from the front neck edge to the bottom point.
Yardage required: MC - approx. 190 m / 206m yds CC - approx. 75 m / 81 yds
