Inspired by my picky 2-year-old who wouldn’t keep a hat on in winter - I played off her love of Elsa. Now she won’t take it off!

I get comments on this EVERYWHERE we go. And I’m finally getting around to publishing the pattern!

My version is knit - which provides more stretch, and more lightweight on the head than similar crochet versions. It’s made using a strand of yarn held together with a strand of metallic crochet cotton, to give it a slight variegated look and a bit of sparkle.

It features a side part (above one ear) and a side-falling braid. It might take some getting used to - having the weight of the braid on one side of your head - but my girls don’t seem to mind at all.

Make it for your own little Queen Elsa - she’ll love it! And you’ll never have to worry about cold heads in winter ever again!
