Elsa Mittens are a pair of unisex mittens with a winter-inspired pattern, perfect for autumn and winter wear. The mittens can be knitted in three sizes: 1 (2) 3. Note: If the mittens are knitted in wool/alpaca, they may felt and shrink with regular use. The mittens shown in the photos are knitted in “Gray”, “Midnight Blue” London Merino Fine from Mayflower, and “Flipperfest” hand-dyed extra fine merino wool from Minekreative Verden.

Sizes: 1 (2) 3
Total length (without ribbing): 20 (22,5) 25 cm

Recommended needles: 3 mm U.S. 3 circular needles (at least 60 cm if you use the magic loop technique) or 3 mm U.S. 2,5 double pointed needles (remember that needles are only a guide, make sure to maintain the correct knitting tension)
Material suggestions: 80 (90) 90 g Jawoll from Lang Yarns (50 g = 210 m)
or 80 (90) 90 g Arwetta Classic from Filcolana (50 g = 210 m)
or 80 (90) 90 g London Merino Fine from Mayflower (50 g = 175 m)

Color distribution with three colors: 40 (40) 40 g Jawoll for the main color (dark gray in pattern charts), 30 (40) 40 g for pattern color 1 and ribbing (light gray in pattern charts), 10 (10) 10 g for pattern color 2 (yellow in pattern charts).
Color distribution with two colors: 40 (40) 40 g Jawoll for the main color (dark gray in pattern charts), 40 (50) 50 g for pattern color 1 (light gray/light blue in pattern charts) and ribbing.
Tip: Consider knitting with two colors instead of three, where contrast color 2 is the same color as contrast color 1 to minimize the yarn usage.
