Elsa Vest

The Elsa vest is completely seamless and bottom-up. To make the vest you’ll knit the body in the round until you separate for the armholes, where you’ll knit flat. The shoulders are joined and then you’ll add the neck and armhole ribbings.

The vest as a positive ease of 3-9cm. Choose the size according to the fit you prefer.

Experience level: Beginner

Gauge: 14sts x 22rows on stockinette for 10x10 or approximate

Materials:

  • 4.5mm (US 7) circular needles for ribbing and 6mm (US 10) circular needles for body, or necessary needles to obtain gauge. The size of the cord will depend on the size you knit. For the rib needles, pick a cord smaller than the waist size. For the body pick a cord smaller than the chest size. You’ll also need a 40cm cord for the neck and armholes.
  • Extra 6mm needle or smaller for three-needle cast-off.
  • Darning needle, scissors, 1 stitch marker.
