The Elsie throw blanket is a fun patchwork design that would look great in several different color combinations. It’s made 1 panel at time and subsequent blocks are made off the initial panel. You will only have 40 stitches on your hook at a time making this blanket more manageable.

SKILL LEVEL:
o Basic/Beginner
o Easy
o Intermediate – Blanket is worked in panels that are joined as you go. You will need to know how to do the following Tunisian crochet stitches: TSS and TPS. Also, SC, Sl st, and work in chain spaces. If you are brand new to crochet, this blanket will be Complex/Advanced.
o Complex/Advanced

MATERIALS NEEDED:
o Any DK or thin worsted weight (#3-4) yarn should work for this project. I used Hobby Lobby’s Yarn Bee Bamboo-tiful (#3) in Rose (4 skeins, or 965 yards), Sea Green (4 skeins, or 965 yards), and Linen (4 skeins, or 1025 yards).
o US size H (5 mm) crochet hook (border only)
o US size I (5.5 mm) Tunisian crochet hook
o 18-24 inch cord with stopper (optional)
o Tapestry needle
o Stitch marker (optional)

SIZING:
1 size but can be altered to any size
Width: 47 inches
Length: 61 inches
