Soraya Garcia has used a palette of eight soft, muted shades for her stranded colourwork cowl design, including pink, lavender and blues. It’s knitted in Jamieson & Smith’s Jumper Weight wool, using a light fawn colour as the background shade.
The cowl is knitted in the round as a tube, starting with a provisional cast-on. Once the cowl is complete, the bottom half of the tube is twisted 360°, then the provisional cast-on is undone and the stitches at either end of the tube are grafted together.
