Elspeth Beret
by Jo Allport
This is a lovely beret. The Herringbone stitch produces such a beautiful pattern, which is especially striking on this super chunky yarn. Combine my favourite hat shape with a yarn I also love, and I have created an easy to knit, warm and stylish beret.
Quick to knit up on large needles, it takes just two hanks of yarn. I have chosen this gorgeous Chestnut shade (shade 20), but any of the lovely Debbie Bliss Paloma shades would look great.
This pattern is available as a kit from Yarn Tree Designs website - Elspeth Beret Yarn and Pattern kit
You’ll love knitting this hat, and love wearing it even more! Happy knitting!
