Here is another of my sweaters. I am so tired of not being able to get gauge or find yarn that works with a pattern and then ending up with a sweater that does not fit exactly as it should. If you are going to spend the kind of time to knit a sweater it should fit you perfectly. You should be able to use any yarn you like and needles that flatter that yarn. While you will have to think a bit with this pattern you will end up with a sweater that fits you.
Materials:
Using the Knitter’s Handy Guide to Yarn Requirements by Ann Budd find your bust measurement and gauge and use the amounts for a vest. You can use the gauge from the label if you don’t know what your gauge will be – you may want to get one extra ball. Cotton or cotton blend would be best. It needs to be stiff enough to show stitch definition but light enough for summer – sport through worsted weight should work well.
