Elven Shells Slouchy Hat
I wanted to make this hat a little lacy looking, and I was really happy with how it turned out. It’s obviously not meant for warmth but just as a pretty fashion accent for the warmer months. The pompom is optional – I just tied it on so it could be easily removed. If you’d like to add it, you can find tons of tutorials online. You’ll have enough yarn left over from the one skein needed for the hat to make the pompom. Plus, you can turn the brim up so the hat looks more like a beanie. The pattern may look a little complicated, but once you get started, it’s a lot of repeat so it’s pretty easy. I write my patterns in a way that would be easy for me (and hopefully, you) to understand. But if you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Happy crocheting!
You will need one skein of Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton yarn in Cafe Au Lait.
The finished hat lying flat is about 10 inches from side to side and 9 inches from top to bottom.
