Elves
Also known as Nisser, Drillenisser, Grånisser.
The Elf is knitted in stocking stitch and head and hat are knitted together. The Elf and the beard will look fine if they are lightly felted by hand washing.

Size:
Approximate height: 11cm.
One Elf weights approximately 4g.

Yarn:
Spindrift, 100% Pure Shetland Wool from Jamieson’s of Shetland.
Shades:
25g shade 105 Eesit (Head).
25g shade 104 Natural White (Beard).
25g shade 187 Sunrise (Hat).
1 bundle 5m shade 268 Dog Rose. (Nose).

Alternative with shade 998 Autumn for the hat.
Alternative with shade 315 Heron for the hat.

Needles:
3mm (US 2.5),
One pair straight needles 3mm (US 2.5).
One extra needle 3mm (US 2.5).
One crochet needle for making beard.

Tension:
10x10 cm = 26sts and 38rows stocking stitch.

Nisser
Nissen er glatstrikket og hoved og hue strikkes sammen. Skægget sættes på med hæklenål og filtes let.

Mål:
diameter i bunden er ca. 4cm og højden er 11cm.
En nisse vejer ca. 4g.
