A crochet pattern of the King himself - Elvis Presley!

I have designed this pattern to be manageable at an advanced beginner/intermediate level. To complete it you will need to be able to make a magic ring, chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, work into front or back loops, increase, decrease, surface crochet and have basic sewing skills. The pattern contains full step-by-step instructions, tips and photographs as a guide. You will find many useful tutorials online if you are unfamiliar with any of the stitches. The finished doll is approximately 11 inches (28 cms) tall.

MATERIALS NEEDED:

1. Double knit yarn in black, white, red, blue and skin colour
2. 3mm crochet hook
3. Wool/tapestry sewing needle
4. Pins and stitch markers
5. Toy stuffing
6. 2 x 8mm black safety eyes
7. Red trim (optional)

ABBREVIATONS (Pattern written in US Terms):
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
FLO = work into front loop only
BLO = work into back loop only
INC = increasing row
DEC = decreasing row
2sc = increase by making 2 single crochet stitches into one stitch
Sc2tog = decrease by making a single crochet across 2 stitches
(##) = stitch count at end of row

This pattern would not be suitable for children under 36 months due the the eyes being a choking hazard.
