Elymus
This piece plays both with opacity and texture by mixing lace patterns and yarns, to create a garment that recalls rippling prairies. A feather-and-fan style stitch pattern is used to create stripes in wool and mohair that visually mimic the (rapidly vanishing) grass seas of the interior. Holding both yarns together for ribbing creates a third colorway, without requiring a third yarn. The sleeveless shell is suitable for the last days of fall, but the close neckline, wool yarn and deep ribbing nod to the rapidly drawing cooler evenings.
