The Embellish sweater is knit from the top down. Begin with a broken rib neck band and then some short row shaping at the back of the neck for comfort. The texture chart is started after the short rows, incorporating the increases and adds a delicate liner design that brings movement and detail to the yoke. Additional knit rounds are worked to the underarm separation to customize the yoke depth for fit. The sleeve stitches are set aside and the body is worked to the hem. A broken rib band finishes the body of the sweater. Return to the sleeve stitches and work down to the cuff decreasing for a tapered fit. The cuff is worked in broken rib as well and bound off in pattern. This pattern is suitable for an adventurous beginner who is familiar with increases, decreases and knit and purl stitch patterning.
