CC yardage note:
The contrast colour yarn can be made up of one or many colours. You can knit with a single strand of CC, or for extra ‘pop’ you can:

  • hold the CC yarn doubled (we used this method for the samples) - this requires double the yardage.
  • use DK weight yarn held singly.
  • hold a strand of mohair lace held alongside the sock weight CC for an extra fluffy halo.

Samples Show in Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Soka’pii in ‘York’ with ‘Sunny’s’, ‘Pretty Shield’, ‘Emil’, ‘Eagle Eye’, Flower Point, and ‘Eagle Eye’ with ‘Flower Point’, ‘Elk Antler’, ‘Sunny’s’.

US #2 / 2.75mm DPNs for Newborn size and 16” circular needle for all other sizes
US #5 / 3.75mm 16” circular and DPNs*
(or as required to achieve gauge)

Alternatively you can use the magic loop technique to knit in the round using a single long circular needle.
