This cozy unisex beanie has features that make it extra warm for a cold winter day: a deep ribbed brim that can be doubled to keep the hat snug around the ears and a band of stranded colorwork for an extra layer. To knit this hat, you need to know how to:

The yarn used in the sample shown in the pattern comes from the Ross Farm, a century farm in Western Pennsylvania that specializes in raising heritage and rare breed sheep. The yarns are minimally processed, so they still tend to contain a bit of lanolin in them.
