The shawl is worked sideways, from the pointy end in “embossed leaves” pattern, which is a combination of regular dc and post stitch dc. To shape the shawl, one more leaf is added every 8 rows. When the desired width of the shawl is achieved, the shaping is continued by removing one “leaf” every 8 rows. The shawl can be crocheted in any weight yarn. There are instructions for fingering and sport weight yarn.
