I love creating prominent colorwork projects and this beanie is one of my colorwork pattern where I used 2 different yarn weights to create an embossed colorwork look. I have added video link for the stitch.

The pattern carries chart as well as step by step instruction.

Gauge:
2.25mm needle – 7.5 sts & 11 rows = 1” in stockinette stitch
3.5mm needle – 6 sts & 8 rows = 1” in stockinette stitch

Yarn Information:
In this project, I used both fingering weight as well as variegated yarn-DK weight yarn. The main yarn is fingering weight, while the variegated yarn is DK weight. The combination of these yarn weights is introduced to achieve deeper colorwork.
Small - Child Size: Approx. 50g(210m)- fingering weight/ approx. 26g(54m)- variegated yarn-DK
Medium - Adult Size: Approx. 60g(252m)- fingering weight/ approx. 28g(58m)- variegated yarn-DK
Large - Adult Size: Approx. 70g(294m)- fingering weight/ approx. 30g(126m)- variegated yarn-DK
