Embrace the Gray
If you look at my recent works, you will see that I am heavily influenced by modern quilting.
Modern quilters embrace color like no other crafting medium. They make their own rules and aren’t afraid to lean toward the subtle or burst with vibrancy. This scarf, Embrace the Gray, embodies that perspective and pairs a muted shade of gray with two blue/green shades. Would this scarf look stunning with a pop of chartreuse? You bet! But here, I have intentionally paired these soft coastal shades with a quiet cloudy gray to create a subdued and almost sleepy effect.
When knit in O-Wool’s Local yarn, the combination of the somewhat nubby soft halo from the alpaca/merino blend and almost heathered colorways soften the rigidness from the garter stitch pattern and generate a truly modern (and gender neutral) scarf.
