Embrace the Journey
My original goal with this pattern was to design something that would work well with those 50 gram skeins I love buying. Then I thought, I can use a full skein and have 50 grams leftover too. Win, Win! I also had to make another version of the pattern for the one skein lovers because I fall into this group as well. There’s just no bad shawl to me apparently…
You can buy the pattern here or get it free in a kit with some fabulous yarn from A Guy with Two Needles Yarn! https://www.etsy.com/listing/665638441/pre-order-ag2n-yar...
Embrace the Journey includes 2 versions:
One pattern using approximately 100 grams of the Main Color and 50 grams of the Coordinating Color (approximately 550 to 650 total yards). Included are adjustments for whether your 100 gram skeins are 400, 437 or 463 yards. Sizes range from 82” x 14” to 92” x 17” blocked.
Also, an adjusted pattern in case you just want a 100 gram one skein shawl. I’ve included adjustments for whether your 100 gram skeins are 400, 437 or 463 yards on this one too. Sizes range from 68” x 11 to 72” x 12” blocked.
You can get away with not blocking, but pin blocking will definitely open up the lacework more and allow you to shape your shawl exactly how you want it.
