Emerald Bay Shawl
Emerald Bay Shawl is the Make-A-Long knitting pattern for the 2021 Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl!
A cozy, yet lightweight shawl inspired by the colors and textures of Emerald Bay, the jewel of Lake Tahoe. In this inlet, you’ll find glorious shades of turquoise and indigo blues, dotted with gorgeous greys and deep emerald greens. Featuring soothing sections of garter stitch and an intriguing ripple and waves motif, knitting this shawl is as breezy as Lake Tahoe!
Pattern Notes: Necessary skills include knit and purl, working increases (yo, kfb) and decreases (k2tog, ssk). Instructions are provided in written and charted formats. The Ripple and Waves chart instructions are written separately, as well as contained between asterisks in written instructions. Please read through the entire pattern to familiarize yourself with its construction before starting to knit. Modification note: work only one or two repeats of shawl edging if needed to accommodate any yardage difference in MC.
