Emerald Grove
Emerald Grove is a versatile front-open cardigan with elegant i-cord ties. Knit in pieces from the bottom up, the cardigan is joined at the shoulders, seamed along the sides, and finished with i-cord hems and ties that add a sophisticated touch. Designed for customization, it includes options for short, long, or bell-shaped sleeves.

This top is designed to be worn with between 4-10” {10-25.5 cm} of positive ease. Sample is worn with 8” {20 cm} of positive ease.

Sample uses: Granville by Valley Yarns (90% Pima Cotton, 10% Merino Wool - 167 yds {153 m}/ 50g) in the colorway Mineral Green (short sleeve), and Raspberry Sorbet (long sleeve).
NEEDLES
US 6 (4 mm) or size to match gauge.
A set of 24“ or 32” {60 or 80 cm} for the body and 16” {40 cm} for sleeves.
GAUGE
Stockinette (worked flat)
19.5 sts / 29 rows = 4” {10 cm}.
Note: The gauge in the round may vary slightly from the flat gauge. If the difference is significant, adjust the needle size for the sleeves accordingly. Otherwise you can block out the difference in the end.
OTHER MATERIALS
Yarn needle, stitch markers and 3rd needle of same or similar size to gauge set.
DIFFICULTY
Intermediate. The hardest parts will probably be the icord details, but there are video tutorials specifically made for each unique icord step.
