Emi is the fifth member of the 2024 Happy Scrappy Cat Project. During the course of 2024 a new and unique cat pattern will be released on the first and third Friday of each month. Emi will be free to view and use on the Hateruma Handmade blog beginning March 1, 2024. At that time the pattern will be able to be worked as part of a crochet along group at Hateruma Handmade Community on Facebook. I would be so happy to see you there.

Emi is about 6” to the top of his head in a seated position when worked in #4 medium worsted weight acrylic. Standing she measures 9.5” from toes to tips of ears. She’s adorably sized to be the perfect hand-held friend.

The Happy Scrappy Cats are all designed with #4 medium worsted weight acrylic yarn and a 3.0mm hook. I did not use more than 60g of the main color for any of the designs. Being a scrap project I began to use up random remnants in my personal yarn stash, there is no specific color or brand to recommend. Please choose colors and brands to your own taste, just make sure they are all the same weight.
