The inspiration for the name of these socks came from a French countryman, with whom we attempt to speak with, with minimal success, when we are visiting our ‘much loved’ France. In the times of the Covid virus preventing us from travelling, I sit here wishing we were back there, just trying to understand his words of wisdom!

This sock boasts a really stunning lace panel pattern, repeated throughout the leg and down the top of the foot.
Worked, cuff down, using simple knit stitches.

Using any sock yarn and to any desired leg length or alternatively, using a contrast colour for the cuffs, heels and toes.
