I love garter stitch as it knits into garments that are modern yet timeless at the same time. This little cardigan has a simple contrast trim around the body and at the end of the sleeves but can be made all in 1 colour if preferred. Perfect for everyday wear or a special occasion if knit in a special yarn.

The back and fronts are knitted and then seamed at the shoulder before picking up sts across the shoulder and knitting the sleeve downwards on 2 straight needles. The side and sleeve seams are then sewn. Stitches are picked up and knit along the fronts and neck before casting off to make the contrast edging although this an be done in the same colour if preferred.
