The Emily’s Garden Design Pillow is a perfect accessory for the Emily’s Garden Blanket (in my store) or as a stand-alone gift or home decor project. It was created with my granddaughter in mind, using an ultra-soft 100% polyester, Aran/worsted weight yarn. This polyester yarn can be machine-washed in cold water and air-dries quickly. . The Emily’s Garden Pillow Design is worked “in the round”, using the woven stitch, double crochet, and front post double-crochet for the embossed flowers. The pattern offers detailed step by step instructions and links for additional aid. I used one skein of color A (216 yards), two skeins of color C (436 yards) and less than one skein of color B. Required yardage has been increased in the pattern specs to allow for differences in individual crochet methods and to allow a margin of error. This pattern is an intermediate skill level, but leans toward the easy side within that level.
