A hat knit 2 different ways, Emma has a traditional ribbed brim and crown decreases, while Dillon begins with a provisional cast on that works into a folded brim, with only 3 rows of crown decreases to create a different shaped crown. Both hats are meant to be worn with a bit of slouch, though you can modify the body by subtracting rows from the texture and stockinette stripes as needed to create a closer fitting beanie, if desired. You can also mix and match the brim and crown to create a total of 4 different hats!

Size M calls for 84 sts, size L calls for 96 sts. Size can be altered, but only by a multiple of 12 sts.

If working with the Luster yarn, I suggest size 7/4.5 mm 16” circular needles and DPNs to obtain gauge. If working with Dewy DK, which blooms more after blocking, I recommend size 6/4.0 mm 16” circular needles and DPNs to obtain gauge.

Additional materials: stitch marker, tapestry needle for sewing in ends

Each size can be knit with one skein of either of the suggested yarns. This pattern will look good with either variegated, semi-solid or solid yarns. The sky is the limit in making this hat your own!
