Emma Tee
Overview:
Our Emma Tee is knitted top down on circular needles.
Starting from neckline, after a few rounds in rib stitch, increases are made with basic m1r and m1l stitches along raglans working in the round until we reach the desired width. Then we divide stitches and put sleeve stitches on hold. We continue working body in stockinette stitch in the round to the desired length.
Finally we transfer sleeve stitches back to the needle and frame the sleeves with a rib.

32” (80 cm) or 40” (100 cm) circular needles in size 5 mm (US 8) for the body.
Note: for neckline and armholes ribbing, short tip circular needles are recommended. Alternatively you can use double pointed needles or magic loop technique.
Other notions:
4 stitch markers (one a different colour than the others), scrap yarn or stitch holders, measuring tape, tapestry needle.
Gauge:
19 sts and 24 rows to 4”/10 cm on 5 mm (US 8) needles in stockinette stitch knit in the round.
Note: it is always important to make a small gauge swatch with the yarn you have chosen. Check that, with the same number of stitches and rows, your gauge matches ours. If not, try to increase or decrease the tension while working or, even, to change the needles size.
