This hat is dedicated to my favourite actress, Emma Thompson. I think she’s awesome. She’s a brilliant actress, but also an incredible woman. She’s an advocate for the environment, a humanitarian, a fighter of social injustice, has an incredible sense of humour and to top it all off, she’s a Dame. A literal Dame. She’s also a class act. She’s true to herself and doesn’t feel she has to change for anybody. She’s soft and strong, just like the texture and pattern of this hat. I hope you like it.

Sizing:

• Adult: Fits up to a 23” circumference

Yarn:

• This pattern calls for a DK weight yarn held with a lace weight yarn. I used Lamana Como paired with Lamana Premia, both in Antique Pink. Personally, I feel that Como is a very light DK, more like a Sport weight yarn, so using a Sport weight yarn would be fine.

Gauge:

• 22 sts / 4”

Needles:

• 3.25mm and 3.75mm on a 16” cord
• 3.75mm DPN’s, or 40” cord for Magic Loop

• Stitch Markers, Scissors, Darning Needle
