Emmett Socks
A terrific cuff-down sock option for a man -- but it would also look wonderful for a woman, too. This pattern features a cable rib stitch that is easy to learn and contains a great deal of stretch; this makes it a little challenging to measure an exact gauge, but means that it will fit lots of different-sized feet. Comes in Adult S/M/L, with circumferences of approx. 7.1/8.5/10 inches.
Shown in Black Bunny Fibers Wool/Nylon Sock yarn, in a muted slate-gray handpainted colorway; other good choices include BBF Superwash Merino Classic, Tiight Twist, Bamboo Lite or any fingering-weight yarn; you’ll probably want to opt for a solid, semi-solid or muted multicolor to show off the pattern stitch.
Hard copies available at the BBF on-line shop; PDFs available via Ravelry and Patternfish.
